Child Care

EARLY EDUCATION & CARE

Following state and local safety guidelines, Ys across the country offer quality full-day and partial-day early learning opportunities and child care for infants through preschoolers, enabling parents and family members to go to work knowing their children are in safe, stimulating environments. Programming consists of daily activities that offer opportunities for each child’s growth physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

Our Pre-School curriculum is designed to promote and enrich early learning opportunities for all ages and abilities. We utilize the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks and Teaching Strategies Gold for child observations and assessments.

Our classrooms offer a wide selection of wonderful early learning furnishing that have been carefully selected to stimulate your child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn.

Preschool programs are offered at the New Bedford YMCA and Sippican elementary school. Please see locations below for more information.

SCHOOL-AGE CARE

YMCA Southcoast is committed to the provision of quality, affordable care, and education, and believes that our staff serves as an extension of your family. Programming consists of daily activities that offer opportunities for each child’s growth physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. The Y’s Before and After-School programs provide year-round care. We understand parents’ need to work, and we have a variety of program options during school vacations, snow days, teacher in-service days, and summer.
