Short Term Memberships
Three month memberships are available for adults and families and may be applied to an annual membership if done within 30 days. Inquire at the Welcome Center of your local Y branch.
Membership | Monthly E.F.T. Draft
This is a payment plan that allows a member to pay for a continuous membership in equal monthly payments that are automatically deducted from the member's checking or credit card account for as long as they belong to the Y. Membership applications can be picked up at the Welcome Center at all of our branch locations or you can download an electronic version of our membership application.
Membership dues are paid automatically with equal monthly payments.
- You are a member for as long as you choose.
- You may cancel your membership at any time by giving a 30-day written notice.
- You join only once. The E.F.T. membership is automatically renewed until you tell us to stop drafting your account.
- You receive no bills and thus have no checks to write or postage to pay.
Other Convenient Payment Plans
Membership can also be paid in full at time of application using cash, check, Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover Card. Annual membership dues are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event that a member does not use their membership to the extent that they anticipated, no refunds or credits will be issued, unless accompanied by a doctor's note.
This one time fee is for all new members and current members who allow their membership to expire for a 30-day period. The funds are used for building repairs and Capital Development. This fee is also considered a one month trial membership.
DoD Military Outreach Membership Free Memberships Available to Families of Deployed Members of the Military
YMCA Southcoast is participating in the Military Outreach Initiative, launched by YMCA of the USA, the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense. The program gives spouses and families of deployed military personnel who live from a military installation free memberships and access to the Y's child development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programming.
Eligible military families and personnel include:
- Family members of deployed National Guard and Reservists
- Active Duty Independent Duty personnel and their families as approved by their Military Service Headquarters
- Relocated spouses and family members of deployed Active Duty personnel
The Department of Defense will underwrite memberships at participating Ys for an initial six month period for each eligible family and service member. Membership renewals in sub-sequent six month intervals (up to 12 or 18 months depending on eligibility) will be funded based on a military family's or service member's ability to meet the participation requirement of eight visits to a Y each month and available federal funding. Corporate Membership Discounts
A Y corporate membership consists of a minimum of ten individuals who have a common employer. Employees are eligible for a 10% savings on a full year membership. Please call 508.996.9622 for more information.
Senior Whole Health
New! Free three month Senior Adult Membership available to individuals enrolled in Mass Health, are age 65 or older and lives at home or in a nursing home. Simply stop by the Welcome Center of your local Y branch for more information.
