Before and After School Care

With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The Dartmouth YMCA Before and After School programs are an exciting and well-rounded extension of your child’s school day. From the moment they arrive their inner strengths are challenged through professional homework assistance and educational enrichment programming. The physical body is challenged in sports, organized play and alternative, unconventional ways of leading healthy lives.

The Dartmouth YMCA school program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Participants are accepted from all Dartmouth Schools in our program. We encourage community connectedness with the acceptance of PACE vouchers and offer Y financial assistance.

Our program connects students enrolled in grades Kindergarten through grade six serving the following Dartmouth Public Schools:

DeMello Elementary School
Quinn Elementary School
Dartmouth Middle School
