Drs. Sherm and Betty Gleason

Their legacy will live on. 

This March, only 8 days apart, we experienced the loss of two very special people.  Having lived long lives and always at Y events, it is difficult to imagine future gatherings without the presence of Dr. Sherm’s bowtie and gentlemanly demeanor, and Dr. Betty’s warm and contented smile.

He was a true gentleman, and she was an amazing lady. The Gleasons cared for so many people in their lives through their parenting, their medicine, and their passionate support of youth and families in their community.   They were genuine and generous people who meant a great deal to our Y and the entire Wareham community.

Together, Betty and Sherm lived the Y mission of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.  Their dedication to building healthy families and communities will live on in the hearts of all who were touched or those who will be touched by their generosity in the years to come.
